For each Dai deposited in the ticks of the PoolTogether “plDai” protocol, money is collected, which increases the chances of winning among the participants. When the tickets/Dai are grouped together, a “pod” is defined where all tickets enter the same capital pool ensuring that the prizes are as high as possible.
HOW IT WORKS
You join a pool by buying a “savings ticket”, every savings ticket gives you the chance to win a prize, but (and this is the novelty) even if you don’t win, you keep all your money! PoolTogether allows you to have the best of both worlds: save money and/or win a prize!
The significant aspect of PoolTogether is that once you enter the pool, you will continue to be considered eligible for all future prizes. There is no need to take any further action. You will be entitled to the prize until you withdraw your deposited money.
If you have subscribed to a pool, you can check if you have won simply by checking your “account” page[https://app.pooltogether.com/], immediately after a prize has been awarded, you will be notified whenever a pool is closed, so it is also advisable to subscribe to the e-mail to get notifications of the results.
Your winnings will be automatically converted into tickets, increasing your chances of winning again, however you can withdraw your savings and winnings at any time.
Your chance of winning depends on how much money is in the pool, for example, if 1,000 Dai are in the pool and you buy 1 ticket, your chance of winning would be 1 in 1,000; by purchasing tickets you are entitled to the NOW and all future prizes, but not the current prize to prevent people from buying tickets immediately before a prize is awarded.
